Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is one of several types of ventilation therapy used to help with breathing overnight. CPAP is mainly used for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) – this is mostly apparent in newborns but also with neuromuscular diseases.

Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure (BIPAP) provides two levels of pressure: lower Expiratory Positive Airway pressure (EPAP) for easier exhalation and Inspiratory Positive Airway Pressure (IPAP) for easier inhalation.
